Driving Time

From West Denver Metro Area: allow an hour-and-a-half to two hours.

From Vail Area: allow about 45 minutes via Highway 24 through Minturn.

From Breckenridge or Keystone: allow about an hour via Highway 91 (Copper Mountain exit off I-70). We do not recommend Weston or Mosquito Passes; they look more direct on paper, but they are heavy duty 4 wheel drive roads not suitable for normal driving, so Highway 91 is faster.

From Copper Mountain: 30 minutes via Highway 91.

From Aspen area: about an hour over Independence Pass (not usually open until Memorial Day weekend).

The routes over Highway 24 from the Vail area and Highway 91 from Summit County follow the "Top of the Rockies" scenic byway, which feature spectacular vistas to enjoy on your way over.
